Why would developers build samples before being paid?
Because in the AI era a strong developer turns a brief into a polished sample in under an hour — and on Web DD that sample is the proposal. Pitching is unlimited, we take zero commission, and one won deal pays for months of subscription. The sample is a sales pitch, not free labour.
Is it really free for companies?
During beta — yes. Posting briefs and viewing samples costs nothing. When you confirm a deal, both you and the developer place a refundable ₹500 deposit, returned on delivery. It exists to keep fakes out, not to make us money.
What if a developer demands more than we agreed?
The agreed price and timeline are recorded on the deal. If the experience turns bad, you can switch to another developer at any point — the commitment block applies to the developer, never to you. A dev who walks from the agreement also walks from their deposit.
What exactly is "the block"?
When a developer confirms a deal, they're committed to that one company for the agreed timeline — 1 day, 5 days, whatever you set. They stay visible to other companies with an "available from" date. Focus for the client; fair rotation of opportunity for every other developer.
Do you take a cut of the deal?
Never. Company and developer deal directly and keep 100% of the money. Web DD runs on developer subscriptions — which means our only incentive is making matches work, not inflating prices.
Are sample links safe to open?
Every submitted URL passes automated checks — HTTPS, uptime, and error scans — before it appears on your dashboard. Broken or suspicious links never reach you.
